Packaging - Beer can labels

TYPE OF WORK:

Packaging design for two beer can concepts with additional motion advertisements for Conspiracy Theory Brewing Co.

Concept 1 — KING OF THE CANAL

Moodboard

Since the project needed to relate to Ottawa. I chose to seek out conspiracies that reflected the region. My first concept is King of the Canal, which is a conspiracy consisting of an oversized eel that allegedly lives in the Rideau canal, named Elvis.

I chose to make the title the focal point by giving it a contrasting colour to the rest of the illustration. The illustration is meant to lead your eye from the title, to Elvis's face, following his body to the goose.

Concept 2 — Diefenbitter

Moodboard

My second concept was based on the Diefenbunker, which was once a subject of conspiracy.

illustration

I chose to go with a distressed Geiger-counter as the focal point, with units of "bitterness" instead of radiation. The steel tunnel surrounding it is what you see upon entering the Deifenbunker. The tunnel is shown to be radiating from the Geiger-counter.
